Work Permit

Work permit gives a suitable foreign national candidate to work in a multicultural country.  Work permits specify the employer the foreign worker may work for, the length of time they are allowed to work in Canada, as well as any conditions or restrictions.

To apply for a Work permit, one needs a valid passport, the Employer job offer letter & ESDC approved Labour market Impact Assessment. Experience certificates and Educational/Professional Credentials are required wherever applicable.

Once the employee receives the ESDC approved positive Labour market Impact Assessment, the employee can submit an application for a work permit to a Canadian High Commission abroad. Copies of the documents mentioned above should be attached to the application. Some applicants for a Canadian work permit will be required to undergo medical examinations prior to the issuance of a work permit.
